For individuals who received a text message to their cell phone from the short code 77453 or others sent from or on behalf of Freedom Boat Club between March 26, 2015 and June 25, 2020, then you are eligible for a potential award from the Freedom Boat Club Text Message Class Action Lawsuit!

According to the lawsuit, consumers believed that many consumers received comparable or identical text messages from the boat club. Freedom Boat Club denies all acts of allegations, however, they have agreed to settle the class-action lawsuit in order to avoid the further risk and cost of ongoing litigation.

  • Claim Form Deadline: October 5, 2020
  • Who’s Eligible: Individuals who received a text message to their cell phone from the short code 77453 or others sent from or on behalf of Freedom Boat Club between March 26, 2015 and June 25, 2020
  • Estimated Amount: $7.25
    • The settlement website explains that the exact amount of benefits given to each settlement member are not known, but the settlement parties anticipate that each Class Member will receive around $7.25. The settlement checks will not exceed $10.50. 
  • Proof of Purchase: Class Members were sent personalized notices bearing their Notice ID and Confirmation Code. The Notice ID and Confirmation Code are needed to submit a claim.
  • Case Name & Number:Aaron Donde v. Freedom Franchise Systems LLC, et al., Case No. 0:19-cv-60785-RS, in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida
