- Proof of Purchase:
- Consumers who had their Honda transmission replaced at an independent mechanic or body shop must submit documentation of that replacement showing you or someone acting on your behalf and is not an insurance-based entity, paid out of pocket for the parts. Examples of such documentation include invoices, repair orders or receipts.
- Consumers who had their Honda transmission replaced by an authorized Honda or Acura dealership must include with their claim form documentation showing the vehicle’s transmission was replaced and the cost of the repair; however, proof of payment is not required.
- Honda may investigate claims and has the ability to reject them if they are found to have been paid for by someone not in the Class or someone acting on the Class Member’s behalf and is not either an insurance-based entity or third-party warrantor.
