The settlement will benefit California residents who are the original owners of any of the following vehicles that have a five-speed automatic transmission, and who were still the owners of the vehicle as of Dec. 7, 2015.   • Who’s Eligible: Eligible Class Members are California residents who are the original owners of any of the following vehicles that have a five-speed automatic transmission, and who were still the owners of the vehicle as of Dec. 7, 2015:
    • Model year 2003-2004 Honda Accord V6
    • Model year 2002-2004 Honda Odyssey
    • Model year 2003-2004 Honda Pilot
    • Model year 2001-2002 Acura MDX
    • Model year 2003 Acura 3.2 TL Type S with VIN range: 19UUA5…3A019062-093971
    • Model year 2003 Acura 3.2 CL Type S with VIN range: 19UYA42…3A005204-016337
  • Estimated Amount: Varies.
  • Proof of Purchase:
    • Consumers who had their Honda transmission replaced at an independent mechanic or body shop must submit documentation of that replacement showing you or someone acting on your behalf and is not an insurance-based entity, paid out of pocket for the parts. Examples of such documentation include invoices, repair orders or receipts.
    • Consumers who had their Honda transmission replaced by an authorized Honda or Acura dealership must include with their claim form documentation showing the vehicle’s transmission was replaced and the cost of the repair; however, proof of payment is not required.
    • Honda may investigate claims and has the ability to reject them if they are found to have been paid for by someone not in the Class or someone acting on the Class Member’s behalf and is not either an insurance-based entity or third-party warrantor.
