- Without filing a claim, Class Members may be eligible for a free warranty extension to cover the cost of repair or replacement of a failed turbocharger by an authorized Audi dealer. The warranty extension, which went into effect April 12, 2021, does not apply to Electric (After-Run) Coolant Pumps — it applies only to the turbocharger and any parts and labor necessary for the repair or replacement of the malfunctioning turbocharger. The length of the warranty extension will vary for each Class Vehicle, depending on whether, and when, any of the following campaigns related to the coolant pumps was performed on the vehicle:
- Recall 19M1: Software Update re Electric (After-Run) Coolant Pump
- Recall 19O2: Replacement of Electric (After-Run) Coolant Pump
- Recall 19N4: Disconnection of Electric (After-Run) Coolant Pump
- Service Action 19N8: Replacement of Electric (After-Run) Coolant Pump. There is no mileage limitation on the turbocharger warranty extension.
- Class Members may file claim forms in order to take advantage of other benefits provided by the settlement agreement:
- Reimbursement for certain out-of-pocket expenses paid for past replacement or repair of Electric (After-Run) Coolant Pumps
- Reimbursement for rental car expenses incurred during the time Recall 1902 was being performed on their Class Vehicle
- Separate claim forms and supporting documentation must be filed for each Class Vehicle for which the Class Member is seeking reimbursement.
