Brown-Forman Data Breach CAL

  • Claim Form Deadline: July 7, 2021
  • Who’s Eligible: Individuals whom Brown-Forman notified that their personal information was or may have been compromised during the data breach
  • Estimated Amount: Up to $5,000
    • Class Members are eligible for expense reimbursement of up to $5,000.
    • Individuals who spent time remedying issues related to the data breach may claim up to $20 per hour for up to eight hours, for a total of $160.
    • Class Members may make a claim to receive up to $250 for their inconvenience if they submitted and received an insurance payment through Experian IdentityWorks that was related to the Brown-Forman breach
  • Proof of Purchase:
    • Claim for reimbursement of out-of-pocket losses must be accompanied by the Class Member’s contact information and documents that show what happened and how much they lost or spent so they can be repaid. They must also submit documents showing Experian IdentityWorks denied their claim(s). Handwritten receipts are, by themselves, not enough to receive reimbursement.
    • Claims for reimbursement for attested time must be accompanied by the Class Member’s contact information, as well as details about the actions they took in response to the data breach and the time each action took. Class Members must also attest that the information is provided under penalty of perjury.
    • Claims for a cash payment for inconvenience must be submitted along with the Class Member’s contact information and documentation showing the insurance payment by Experian.
