Davaco agreed to pay $540,000 as part of a settlement to resolve claims surrounding a 2021 data breach that compromised sensitive personal information.
The settlement benefits consumers who received a notice that their information may have been compromised in the 2021 Davaco data breach.
According to a class action lawsuit, Davaco failed to protect employee data from third parties — resulting in a ransomware data breach in June 2021. The breach allegedly compromised sensitive employee information, including names, Social Security numbers and identification card numbers.
