Toyotetsu agreed to a $400,000 class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims it failed to prevent an October 2021 data breach.
The class action lawsuit claims Toyotetsu failed to take reasonable cybersecurity measures, which resulted in the data breach. The breach allegedly compromised sensitive personal information of current and former employees.
Toyotetsu, also known as Toyoda Iron Works, is an automotive parts manufacturer that makes parts for Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, Honda and more.
Toyotetsu didn’t admit any wrongdoing but agreed to a $400,000 settlement to resolve the data breach class action lawsuit.
