Kapsch TrafficCom and Gila agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that they charged illegal fees for unpaid Riverlink Toll Bridges tolls.
According to the class action lawsuit, Kapsch TrafficCom and Gila charged unfair fees and penalties to consumers for unpaid tolls despite failing to give consumers any notice or opportunity to pay these fees. Plaintiffs in the case say they only received notice of the tolls after being charged multiple fees and penalties.
Riverlink is a toll system in Louisville, Kentucky and southern Indiana serviced by Kapsch, a toll service provider that works with Gila for payment and collection processing.
Kapsch TrafficCom and Gila haven’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the toll fee class action lawsuit.
