R.R. Donnelley & Sons (RRD) agreed to a $979,704 class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that it failed to prevent a 2021 data breach that compromised client information.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim R.R. Donnelley & Sons could have prevented the November 2021 data breach by implementing reasonable cybersecurity measures. In addition to failing to implement these measures, the company allegedly failed to inform consumers of the breach promptly, waiting until August 2022 to send notification letters.
R.R. Donnelley & Sons is a marketing, packaging, printing and supply chain company.
RRD hasn’t admitted wrongdoing but agreed to a $979,704 settlement to resolve the data breach class action lawsuit.
