St. Ann, Missouri, agreed to a $3.125 million settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit claiming that it unlawfully arrested individuals and put them in jail under unconstitutional conditions.
Plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit claim St. Ann violated their constitutional rights by arresting them and holding them in unreasonable conditions. Some individuals were even jailed after failing to pay parking tickets or fees from similar municipal violations, the class action lawsuit contends.
St. Ann, Missouri, is a city outside St. Louis.
St. Ann hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to resolve the class action lawsuit with a $3.125 million settlement.
